Isaac II, Angelus. 1185-1195. EL Hyperpyron (4.23 g, 6h). Constantinople mint. Facing Theotokos enthroned, holding medallion containing facing bust of Holy Infant with cross behind / Isaac standing facing, wearing loros and short beard and holding cruciform sceptre and akakia, being crowned by St. Michael, holding jeweled sceptre. Cf. DOC IV 2b.1; SB 2002. VF, central flan crack, lightly toned.
