GERMANIC TRIBES, Uncertain. AV Solidus (4.51 g, 6h). Uncertain Italian mint (Rome?). Struck in the name of Constantine IV, circa AD 668-685. Diademed, helmeted and cuirassed bust facing slightly right, holding spear and shield, pseudo-legend / HYCTT BITb, cross potent on four steps; Heraclius and Tiberius, each wearing crown topped with cross and holding long cross, standing facing on either side; CONOB. Cf. DOC II 70; cf. MIB 3, N48; cf. SB 1217. Good VF, soft strike at edge.
