ANGLO-SAXON, Secondary Sceattas. Circa 710-725. AR Sceatta (0.93 g, 10h). Series J, type 85. Mint in Northumbria (probably York). Diademed head right / Bird seated right on cross; annulets flanking, four pellets to right. Metcalf 294 var. (plated); North 128 var. (trefoils); SCBC 791. Good VF, toned, obverse struck a little off center.
