ED´ PO GnS REG AnGL P´nES AQI (double rosette stops), Edward standing facing within ornate Gothic portico, holding sword; four feathers around, leopard passant at feet on either side / +Dn´S AIVTO´ Z P´TECIO mE Z IIPO S´P.AVI COR mEVm B (double rosette stops), Gothic cross with E in center and bars ending in acorns and oak leaves, lis and lions in opposite quarters, all within arched and angled ornate octolobe, trilobes in spandrels. Cf. Elias 154; cf. Poey d'Avant 2930. Good VF. An apparently unpublished variety of this ornate Gothic coin.
Elias 154a is denoted by a • under the P of the reverse legend, while 154c has a leopard in the first quarter. The reverse of this coin combines the distinguishing features of both varieties on the same die.
