EGYPT. Steatite scarab. Thutmose III. Circa 1479-1425 BC. Length 18mm. Carved cream-colored steatite scarab, the base with hieroglyphs and cartouche of Thutmose III. Holed for wearing. Cf. Newberry pl. XXVIII, 5-34. Good condition, faint trace of original faience glaze, small chip on base.
