EGYPT. Lot of two steatite scarabs. Second Intermediate (Hyksos) period. Circa 18th-16th century BC. Lengths 15mm and 14mm. Carved cream-colored steatite scarabs, the bases with engraved schematic hieroglyphs. Holed for wearing. Cf. Petrie
Buttons, 440 and 496. Good condition, sharp hieroglyphs, scarab bodies flaking a bit. Two (2) items in lot.
