[Oil lamps] ROMAN. Italy. Pottery erotic oil lamp. Circa 2nd century AD. Length 11cm. Mold-formed with central motif of a couple seated on a low couch engaged in a sex act. Vestigial nubs on shoulders, vent/fill hole, ring handle. Possible potter’s stamp on base. Pinkish colored clay with red-brown slip. Good condition, slip worn in spots.
