[Oil lamps] ROMAN. Italy. Pottery oil lamp. Circa 1st century AD. Length 12cm. Mold-formed with central motif of a dancing Amazon, holding spear and shield. Base marked C.CLO.SVC+. Fill hole on discus, spout with volutes, ring handle. Cream colored clay with irregularly applied metallic brown and red slip. Choice condition, slip worn.
