[Oil lamps] ROMAN. North Africa. Pottery oil lamp. Circa 1st-2nd century AD. Length 13cm. Mold-formed with central motif of a harbor scene, possibly Carthage, with city view and two fishermen, one on the quay with a net, the other in a boat. Two vent/fill holes, spatulate spout with volutes, spur handle. Cream colored clay, traces of red slip. Good condition, worn, handle broken. Unusual landscape scene on an oil lamp.
