SYRIA-PALESTINE. Pottery “pilgrim flask”. Iron Age, circa 800-586 BC. Height 15.5cm. Flattened discoid bottle with twin carrying handles and thick rim. Dark reddish colored clay with burnished surfaces. Good condition, surfaces worn.
A faint pencil inscription on the body reads ”Found at Y___, Autumn 1896”.
