GREEK. Corinthian pottery Aryballos. Circa 6th century BC. Height 5cm. Globular aryballos, rounded base with strap handle and broad rimmed mouth. Decoration in dark brown slip with scratched guidelines. Base with concentric circles, body with dove flanked by crouching panthers and in-filled rosettes, zig zag on handle, dots and rays on mouth. Good condition, intact, slip worn.
