[Arms and armor] LURISTAN. Bronze spearhead. Circa 9th-7th century BC. Length 42.5cm. A cast bronze spearhead, “rat-tail” tang, rectangular shaft and midrib, leaf-shaped blade. Cf. Moorey, Ancient Persian Bronzes in the Ashmolean Museum, 84. Good condition, brown and green patina, a few knocks on the blade tip.
