Antonia was the daughter of Mark Antony and Octavia, and was the wife of Nero Claudius Drusus, to whom in 10 BC she bore the future emperor Claudius. It is believed she was poisoned by orders of her grandson, Caligula, soon after he became emperor. Aurei, denarii and dupondii were struck in Antonia's name, and today the aurei and denarii are extremely rare. All of her coinage was struck under Claudius.
