Claudius. AD 41-54. Æ Sestertius (35mm, 28.76 g). Rome mint. Struck AD 50-54. Laureate head right / Spes advancing left, holding flower and raising hem of skirt. RIC I 115; BMCRE 192; Cohen 85. VF, bluish-green patina on the obverse, dark brown on the reverse, fields lightly smoothed, details of the hair and laurel wreath possibly strengthened slightly, some minor roughness on the reverse.
