PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT. Ptolemy II Philadelphos(?). 285-246. AR Tetradrachm (14.10 g, 1h). Alexandreia mint(?). Diademed head of Ptolemy I right, wearing aegis / Eagle standing left on thunderbolt; monogram to left. Unpublished. VF, lightly toned.



The monogram on the reverse is not published in any of the standard references for Ptolemaic coins. Nonetheless, the style of the obverse and reverse are similar to Svoronos 344 and SNG Copenhagen 96.
