INDIA, Kushan Empire. Kanishka I. Circa AD 127/8-152. Æ Tetradrachm (16.00 g, 12h). Kanishka standing facing, head left, sacrificing over altar and holding standard; [flame at right shoulder] / The Buddha, nimbate, seated facing, rasing hand in a gesture of abhayamudra (reassurance), and holding water pot in lap. Cribb, Buddha 80 (dies i/21); MK 790/2 (same rev. die). Near VF, dark brown and red patina with areas of hard green overtones. Rare.
