THRACE, Byzantium. Caracalla & Geta. AD 209-211. Æ Medallion (34mm, 26.78 g, 6h). C. Sal(lustius[?]) Aristaenetes and Aelius Herais, archons. Laureate and cuirassed bust of Caracalla right, slight drapery on left shoulder, vis-à-vis bare-headed and draped bust of Geta left / Two wicker torches; G CAL APICTAINETOV K AIL HRAIDOC (NE and HP ligate). Cf. Mouchmov 3343; SNG Copenhagen -; Varbanov 1402 (this coin). VF, dark green patina and brown patina. Very rare.
