Justinian I. 527-565. Æ Follis (25mm, 13.48 g). Rome mint. Struck circa 540-542. Diademed, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Large M flanked by star and Christogram, cross above; A/ROMA, all within wreath. DOC I -; SB 293A. Near VF, brown surfaces.

From the Henry Chitwood Collection.

MIBE continues to describe the reverse of this type as having two stars, but notes that on some varieties the right field symbol resembles a Christogram, which is probably meant as a distinct mark.
