Diademed and draped classical-style male bust left; star to left of shoulder; mint name and AH date around; c/m: “atabeg” in Arabic on cheek / Shahada and names and titles of Abbasid Caliph al-Nasir and ‘Izz al-Din Mas’ud in six lines across field; name and title of Ayyubid overlord al-Adil Abu Bakr in external voids. For coin type: S&S Type 65.1; for c/m: Mardin pl. VIII, 6. VF, black-green patina with dusty gray overtones.
