Some collectors may find interesting that a previous owner of this coin, Dr. Brauer, was a noted numismatist and author. In addition to a numismatic study, Taras: Its History and Coinage (Caratzas, 1986), he also wrote several popular histories: The Young Emperors: Rome, AD 193-244 (Crowell, 1967); Judaea Weeping: The Jewish Struggle Against Rome from Pompey to Masada (Crowell, 1970); and The Age of the Soldier Emperors: Rome, AD 244-284 (Noyes, 1975).
