IONIA, Miletos. Circa 600-550 BC. EL Hemihekte - 1/12th Stater (7mm, 1.11 g). Milesian standard. Lion's head right / Quadripartite incuse, dot at center and ends connected by lines. SNG Kayhan 444; Rosen 275. Fine, porous. The lion’s head on the obverse is nearly invisible, but with a little imagination one can make out traces of the mane.
