IONIA, Phokaia. Circa 521-478 BC. EL Hekte (11mm, 2.18 g). Protome of bridled horse left; seal behind (?) / Quadripartite incuse square. Cf. Bodenstedt Em. 49. Near VF. Pale gold, and a bit underweight. Possibly a fourrée. See E auction 151, lot 62 for a similar piece in good electrum.
The two dies illustrated for issue 49 show a horsehead only, with no legs visible, and the seal below the horse rather than behind it.
