PHOENICIA, Byblos. Circa 450-410 BC. AR Quarter Shekel (13mm, 3.10 g). Sphinx seated left, wearing double crown of Egypt / Thunderbolt of Baal Hadad (or double lotus) in dotted circle within incuse square. Betlyon 2; cf. SNG Copenhagen Supp. 1207 corr. (eighth shekel). VF, a little porous. Very rare - the first coinage issue from Byblos.
