CELTIC, Northwest Gaul. Aulerci Eburovices. Late 3rd-early 2nd century BC. AV Hemistater (2.99 g, 12h). Celticized head of Apollo left; boar below / Celticized horse galloping right; bird-like charioteer above, pellet-in-rosette to right; below, boar standing right above hill motif. Scheers, Eburovices 34; D&T 2401; Depeyrot, NC V, 136; Sills -; Scheers, SM 287; de la Tour -; Allen & Nash 233. Good VF, toned, a few scrapes on obverse, small area of weak strike on reverse.
