BOEOTIA, Thebes. Circa 425-395 BC. AR Stater (12.08 g). Later style. Boeotian shield / Bearded head of Dionysos right, wearing ivy wreath; Q/E (retrograde) on left; all within concave incuse. BCD Boiotia 440; Head, Boeotia p. 36, class b, pl. III, 4 = BMC p. 74, 54, pl. XIII, 5; Myron pl. B, 11; SNG Copenhagen -; SNG Delepierre 1353. Good VF, lightly toned, light die rust.
