BOEOTIA, Thebes. Circa 405-395 BC. AR Stater (12.02 g). Boeotian shield / Facing head of bearded Dionysos facing slightly right, wearing ivy wreath; Q-E across lower field; all within concave incuse. BCD Boiotia 457 (same rev. die); Head, Boeotia p. 41 = BMC p. 79, 104, pl. XIV, 9; Myron pl. G, 5 (same dies); SNG Copenhagen -; Gillet 903 (this coin); Jameson 1164 (same rev. die). Good VF, toned, die breaks on reverse. Very rare.
