IONIA, Phokaia. Circa 625/0-522 BC. EL Hekte (2.57 g). Head of lioness (or leopard) left; seal above / Rough quadripartite incuse square. Bodenstedt Em. 26 (dies a/- [unlisted rev. die]); SNG Copenhagen -; SNG München -. EF, minor scrape on obverse. Exceptional strike from fresh dies. Extremely rare, possibly the second known, and finer than the sole example cited by Bodenstedt.
