CARIA, Knidos. Circa 350-330/20 BC. AR Tetradrachm (15.01 g, 12h). Chian standard. Timasiphron, magistrate. Head of Aphrodite right, hair tied at back, wearing single-pendant earring and necklace / KNI, forepart of roaring lion right; TIMASIFRWN above. Unpublished, but cf. Ashton, Late 5-6 for an issue of similar style. Good VF. Wonderful Hellenistic style. Very rare, fewer than 30 of this type known.
