Septimius Severus. AD 193-211. AV Aureus (7.17 g, 6h). Contemporary Indian imitation. SEVERVS PIVS AVG, laureate head right / P M TR P XIII COS III P P, Jupiter standing left, holding thunderbolt in extended right hand, scepter in left; to left below, eagle standing left, head right. Cf. CNG 69, 1655 for a similar type; for prototype: cf. RIC IV 468; cf. Calicó 2508; cf. BMCRE 469. Good VF, light double strike on obverse. Rare without holes in flan.
