INDONESIA, Colonial. Dutch East Indies. Willem II. 1840-1849. AR 3 Gulden (26.95 g, 9h). Java mint. Struck 1840-1843. Crowned Utrecht coat-of-arms supported by lions rampant set on ground line with scalloped flourish below, counterstamped on obverse of 1801 IJ Lima 8 Reales of Charles IV of Spain (KM 97) / Large VOC monogram with H above and 1790 below, counterstamped on reverse of host coin. Extremely rare.
