Crowned double-headed imperial eagle facing with wings displayed, coat-of-arms of Moskva on breast; above, imperial crown / “Tsar and Grand Duke Ivan Alexeievich, Pyotr Alexeievich, and great ruler, rightly-believed Tsarina and Grand Duchess Sofya Alexeievna of all Great, Small, and White Russia, sole ruler” in Cyrillic in eight lines across field. Cf. Kaim 1848; Friedberg 67; KM -. In an NGC slab graded AU 58, trace of underlying luster, obverse slightly double struck, minor field marks. Overstruck on uncertain undertype.
