GREECE? Æ Applique (50x43 mm, 5.81 g). Two thin bronze sheets, pressed together. Militant saint (George?) on horseback right, spearing prostrate man (Devil?), lion below / KUPIE BOHQI, All-Seeing Eye surrounded by Gnostic symbols- crosses, lances, lions, stork, scorpion, serpent. Probably for attachment to clothing. Shows some Byzantine influence, but probably considerably later (18th century?). Intriguing. Chipping to lower edge, flaking to the patina.
