Head of Demeter left, wearing wreath of grain ears, triple-pendant earring, and pearl necklace / Barley ear with leaf to right; ATƎM upward to left; to right, pitchfork above leaf, AΔ below. Johnston Class C, 5.9/5.11 (for same obv./rev. dies); HN Italy 1582; SNG ANS –; SNG Fitzwilliam 506 (same obv. die); SNG Klagenfurt 248 (same rev. die). Lovely cabinet tone, small flan flaw on obverse, minor die wear on reverse. EF. Fine style. |
