IMP C M Q TRAIANVS DECIVS AVG, radiate and cuirassed bust right / VICTORIA AVG, S C across field, Victory advancing left, holding wreath in right hand and palm frond in left. RIC IV 126a; Banti 29; Gnecchi III, 6. Dark green patina, areas of roughness, some minor marks, some deposits. Good VF. Rare.

An attractive and overweight specimen. Bastien recorded a number of Trajan Decius double sestertii and their weights in 1967. Of those listed, only one is heavier than the present example. None of the examples in Coin Archives are heavier than this impressive coin.
