St. Mark standing right, presenting long cross to Doge kneeling left / Christ standing facing, raising hand in benediction and holding Gospels, surrounded by mandorla containing sixteen stars. Paolucci, Zecca 972; KM (C) 9; Friedberg 1517. In NGC encapsulation 6054937-008, graded MS 62. Very rare with less than ten sold in last 20 years at auction.

A very rare, final issue of the venerable Venetian zecchino, struck in the name of Austrian Emperor Francis I as King of Lombardo-Veneto on the occasion of his visit to the Venice mint.
