Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Cadmus, nude, standing right, holding club and throwing stone at coiled and erect serpent to right; to left, murex shell. RPC VII.2 3567 corr. (club not described); Rouvier 2429 var. (bust); BMC 425 var. (same). Red-brown patina, some roughness. Near VF. Very rare, only one specimen known to RPC, possibly the second known. |
