Gordian III. AD 238-244. AR Denarius (20mm, 2.62 g, 12h). Rome mint, 3rd officina. 7th emission, mid AD 240. Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Securitas Publica seated left on throne, holding scepter and resting head on hand. RIC IV 130; RSC 340. Lightly toned, hard green deposits and double struck on reverse. Good VF.
