Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust left, seen from the front / Eagle standing facing, head and tail left, with wings displayed, holding wreath in beak; below, crescent above ram leaping right, head left. Bland, Coinage 36 (O154); McAlee 882; RPC VII.2 3522; Prieur 303. Toned, porosity, edge roughness. VF. This may be specimen no. 2 in Bland, “Collection Andre Ronde (M Prieur documentation” but there are no photo or metrics given. Extremely rare, only five known to Bland, two recorded in RPC. |
