KINGS of PERSIS. Uncertain king I. 2nd century BC. AR Hemidrachm (11mm, 1.87 g, 3h). Istakhr (Persepolis) mint. Head right with very short beard, wearing diadem and kyrbasia surmounted by eagle / Fire temple, Ahura-Mazda above; to left, king standing right; to right, standard surmounted by eagle. van't Haaff, Persis, Type 552 (Unknown King I-X). Iridescent toning, deposits in devices, hint of underlying luster. EF.
