Laureate bust right, slight drapery / Trophy of arms set on stump, consisting of helmet at top, two hexagonal shields and a round shield; below, two curved swords and round shield to left and two spears and hexagonal shield to right. Cf. RIC 147b; Woytek 268bC Sonderfall; RSC 100. Lightly toned, flan crack, scratches. VF. Extremely rare variant of this often seen type with hexagonal shields to upper left of trophy; Woytek singles out this variant as a 'special case'. |
