OIL LAMP. Roman. 2nd – 3rd Cent. CE. A simple molded oil lamp with round body and long non-volute style nozzle. Piercing on lid to left and at the end of the nozzle. Centrally placed on the lid, a face in half round with clear features is present. Use of red slip present in parts on the lamp still. Blackening from use still present. A well preserved lamp. |
