Divus Augustus. Died AD 14. Æ Dupondius (27.5mm, 13.23 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck under Tiberius, circa AD 22-23. Radiate head of Divus Augustus left / Round temple flanked by calf and lamb standing on columns. RIC I 74 (Tiberius); Elkins, Monuments Figure 67. Green and red patina on obverse with pitting, brown surfaces on reverse have smoothing and cleaning scratches. Near VF. Rare reverse type.

The temple honors the deified Augustus. This is one of only four different architectural reverses produced during the reign of Tiberius.
