Diademed head of the deified Alexander right, with horn of Ammon / Athena Nikephoros seated left, left arm resting on shield, transverse spear in background; palm frond to outer left, cult image on throne to inner left. Thompson 257 var. (no palm frond, monogram on throne); Müller 114 var. (no palm frond); HGC 3, 1750r; Seyrig casts 178-7 (same dies; coin in Sofia). Lightly toned, with some iridescence, minor deposits on obverse, faint graffiti in field on reverse. VF. |
