Radiate, draped, and cuirassed bust right, seen from behind / Nude athlete standing facing, head right, crowning himself with a wreath and holding palm; at feet on either side, prize crown containing palm branch; ΠYΘIA across field. Touratsoglou 38 (V5/R19); RPC X Online 61805. Olive green patina, roughness, light deposits, die shift on obverse, dramatic double strike on reverse. Near VF. Extremely rare, only one specimen known to Touratsoglou and RPC. |
