Laureate, draped, and cuirassed bust right / Nike advancing right, holding wreath and palm frond over shoulder; L I (date) across field. Dattari (Savio) 5255; K&G 90.65; RPC X Online 76667; Curtis 1611 (this coin); Emmett 3820.4 (R3). Brown patina with traces of silvering, minor deposits. VF. Extremely rare – only two in RPC. Most examples of this date bear a palm frond on the reverse. Superior to the only illustrated specimen in RPC. |
