T. Cloelius. 98 BC. Fourée Quinarius (13.5mm, 1.47 g, 8h). Imitating an official issue of the Rome mint. Laureate head of Jupiter right; C below chin / Victory standing right, crowning trophy; at base of trophy, bound captive seated left; carnyx to right; Q (mark of value) in exergue. Cf. Crawford 332/1c (all references for official issue); cf. Sydenham 586b; cf. King 35; cf. Cloulia 2b; cf. RBW –. Toned, breaks in plating. VF. A very well executed fourée of a scarce issue.
