Bronze Seal. Baktrian. 2400 - 2100 BC. (46 mm.) A triangular open work seal that’s highly ornamented on back with a loop for suspension. The scene presented in embossed metal shows clearly on the back to be a scene of three sheep, one standing looking forward, behind mountain and trees. Two others rest in a pastoral context, with trees and hills in background. Sarianidi -. Very unique piece, both functional and subject visible on the back. Some encrustation.
