POTTERY. Magna Graecia. 6th-4th Cent. BCE. (165 mm wide x 75 mm tall). A cup with a small foot supporting a wider, tall bowl with a tapered edge. A single handle present. Black glaze decorates the piece, in a wavy pattern on the external wall of the cup. Highlights also are present on the lip and the handle. Internally, a single concentric circle is centrally placed on the bottom, and another highlights the inside lip. Some loss of slip and glaze present. A couple of faint stress crack but intact. |
