Divus Augustus. Died AD 14. Æ Dupondius (29mm, 11.35 g, 6h). Rome mint. Struck under Tiberius, circa AD 22-23. Radiate head of Divus Augustus left / Round hexastyle temple flanked by calf right and lamb left, standing on stone bases. RIC I 74 (Tiberius); Elkins, Monuments Figure 67. Deep red-brown patina, minor smoothing. Good VF.

The temple honors the deified Augustus. This is one of only four different architectural reverses produced during the reign of Tiberius.
