BRUTTIUM, Lokroi Epizephyrioi. Circa 317-279 BC. AR Nomos (21.5mm, 7.35 g, 8h). Laureate head of Zeus left / Eagle flying left, holding hare in its talons; thunderbolt to right. Spinelli Period II, Group V, 9, 50 (same dies); HN Italy 2319. Deeply toned, some find patina, rough surfaces, edge marks, small flan flaws and area of weak strike on obverse, overstruck on uncertain type (partially visible on reverse). VF.
